: CELIBACY
: Brahmacharya In these modern days celibacy is very important to the youth inorder to attain their respective goals of their life. But sadly our youth is under the spell of sex drive for opposite gender and thereby falling in the trap of instant pleasures wasting their energy, time and everything. This is the reason why I have put this article in-front of you.
: What is brahmacharya Brahmacharya literally means Achara or conduct that leads to the realization of Brahman or one’s own Self. Brahmacharya is purity in thought, word and deed. It is also called celibacy. In general brahmacharya is associated with spirituality. Students from their childhood are sent to Gurukul(School in olden days) and they study till the end of their teenage and live the rest of their lives in this society.
: What is celibacy Celibacy refers to a state of being unmarried , or a state of abstinence from sexual intercourse or the abstention by vow from marriage. Generally people misunderstand the term celibacy for which you can see all the answers about celibacy in FAQs at the last.
: Why Celibacy  It gives inner strength and peace of mind. It invigorates the mind and nerves. It helps to conserve physical and mental energy. It augments memory, will force, and brain power. It bestows tremendous strength, vigour, and vitality. It renovates the system or constitution, rebuilds the cells and tissues, energizes digestion, and gives power to face the difficulties in the daily battle of life. One who has perfect control over sexual energy attains power unobtainable by another means.
: Celibacy and Spirituality By proper practice the sexual energy will be transmuted into spiritual energy or Ojas Sakti.  This process is called sex sublimation in western psychology. Just as a chemical substance is sublimated or purified by raising the substance through heat into vapour which again is condensed into solid form, so also, the sexual energy is purified and changed into divine energy by spiritual Sadhana. Ojas is spiritual energy that is stored up in the brain. This stored up energy can then be utilised for divine contemplation and spiritual pursuits. Anger and muscular energy can also be transmuted into Ojas.
: Celibacy and Spirituality(cont) A man who has a great deal of Ojas in his brain can turn out immense mental work. He is very intelligent. He has lustrous eyes and a magnetic aura in his face. He can influence people by speaking a few words. A short speech of his produces a tremendous impression on the minds of the hearers. His speech is thrilling. He has an awe-inspiring personality.
: Science behind Celibacy According to Yogic science, semen exists in a subtle form throughout the whole body. It is found in a subtle state in all the cells of the body. It is withdrawn and elaborated into a gross form in the sexual organ under the influence of the sexual will and sexual excitement. But with well practice of celibacy one can use the semen for mental and spiritual purpose. In science there are two parts of semen-one part is used for reproductory purpose and the other part is used for mental purpose. That other part is nothiong but ojas.
: Practice of celibacy There are basically three types of practicing celibacy. -Type 1 -Type 2 -Type 3
: Type 1 Here the celibate chooses a place which is far away from the world like forest or an island. The celibates takes a vow not to look at opposite gender. The celibate takes pure food prepared by his/her own. This is rather a strict kind of celibacy which is practically impossible for youth in the present world.
: Type 2 Here the celibate see the opposite genders but he/she develops a feeling that keeps sexual thoughts away from the mind of the celibate. For example one may think about dead persons or the flesh inside the body or a skull of bones. It may be practised but it may not lead to perfection in the way of spiritual path.
: Type 3 Here the celibate sees God inside the opposite gender. Men may see mother or sister inside women. Women may see brother in men. It is the way of perfection in spiritual path.
: World is sexy But the world in the present condition is full of arousing scenes. So prayer is a powerful tool inorder to successfully practice celibacy. Students should change the attitude about their thoughts about their opposite gender.
: Celibacy and Marriage One can practice celibacy being married by occassional breaking of celibacy by a thought that sex is divine. When a celibate gives birth to offspring by occassional breaking celibacy, the offspring would be physically, mentally and spiritually strong. Our nation requires such a kind of children.

Treat everyone with respect as if everyone is God(Brahman). Exercise if you feel that you have excess amount of energy. Meditate regularly. Get up early at the morning so that you do not suffer from any wet dreams.
