Green technology is also referred as “Clean Technology”. At present green technology can be considered to be in the initial stage of development. GREEN TECHNOLOGY
    4 : GREEN TECHNOLOGY Green technology addresses climate change and environmental sustainability. Use energy most efficiently. Transform our transportation system. Producing renewable energy. Stabilizing the climate require changes in many sector of economy.
    5 : Reliance on fossil fuels for energy is a central part of the problem. Reducing their dominance in the global energy system will be key for climate stability. Carbon dioxide emission from fossil fuels will have to be cut by 85% below current level by 2050 to prevent catastrophic climate change CLIMATE CHANGE
    6 : Solution to carbon problem is a new energy system. Technologies are available today to allow a rapid shift in the mix of energy sources on which the world depends. Solar, wind, geothermal and biological resources have the potential to supply vast quantities of energy that can be converted to electricity and liquid and gaseous fuels. CLIMATE CHANGE
    7 : This require major changes in the worlds energy infrastructure and more efficient use of energy. Require mobilizing substantial resources which in turn will depend on major policy changes that overcome subsidies that prop up the current energy system. Transformation in energy has been a relatively static business characterized by slow incremental change. CLIMATE CHANGE
    8 : CLIMATE CHANGE Rebuilding the global energy system will require large initial investments but in the long run it will be more economical than continuing on the current path. A low - carbon economy would create thousands of new businesses and millions of jobs.

    11 : INDIAN SCENARIO Changes in national and state policies have created a large domestic manufacturing basis for renewable energy systems and products. Annual turnover of the renewable energy industry including the power generating technologies for wind, solar and biomass has reached a level of Rs.500 Billion.

Does it save energy ? Does it add durability ? Does it contribute to waste stream ? Is it renewable and recyclable ?

    23 : GOVERNMENT POLICY THE DISTRIBUTION UTILITY WILL PAY TARIFF DETERMINED BY SERC FOR METERED ELECTRICITY GENERATED FROM SUCH PLANTS. THE LEVELISED TARIFF PROPOSED BY SERC IS Rs. 17.91 / kWh
